This contains the details about how to set up a KPI meter and KPI scorecard. How to add a saved search result as a KPI meter
Up to 3 KPI meter can be added to the home dashboard. To get the latest data from your KPI you need to refresh individual KPI or refresh entire KPI portlet. If headline option is flagged in the KPI portlet for a KPI indicator then we will get
Case: Let’s assume we need to track sales performance across 3 regions, then we will need separate KPIs for each of these because each KPI has one dimension-sales dimension here. Filters can be applied to each differently to get the desired result meter.
When we create a saved search the points to be noted is that- We should summarize the key result field only 1 field is needed in the result tab of the search with a summary field defined to that. If the other fields are defined in search, it will be displayed when the user drills down the search from the KPI. Specify a Date/period field as an Available filter to create comparison range for viewing. Do not specify the date range on the criteria tab in your saved search. Use KPI as your saved search prefix name for easy identification. Without adding that search in ‘Key Performance Indicator’ portlet of the home dashboard, it will not be available to add as

To define new KPI Scorecard go to Setup>Customization> KPI Scorecards>New
