Missing Deposit Button in Sales Order

If the Create Deposit button is missing on the Sales Order, here are the following possible reasons:

A. The status of the Sales Order is Cancelled, Closed, or Billed.

The Sales Order must be open for payment for the Create Deposit button to show on the record.

B. The Sales Order Form is of the Standard Sales Order Type and the Payment Method field is not blank.

Solution:

  1. Customize the Standard Transaction Form
  2. Navigate to the Screen Fields tab, under the Billing sublist, and mark the Show checkbox on Terms
  3. Click Save
  4. Edit the Sales Order with the Deposit button missing
  5. Change the Form used from Standard Transaction Form to the Custom Transaction Form
  6. On the Billing tab, populate the Terms and leave the Payment Method blank
  7. Click Save

C. The Sales Order Form is of the Cash Sale Type.

D. The Sales Order Form is customized to not show the Create Deposit Button.

Solution:

  1. Customize the Transaction Form being used
  2. Navigate to the Screen Fields tab, under the Billing sublist, and mark the Show checkbox on Terms
  3. Click Save
  4. Edit the Sales Order with the Deposit button missing
  5. On the Billing tab, populate the Terms
