Magswitch would like to update the MTE Invoice, Proforma Invoice, and Credit Memo templates to incorporate new Tax Laws

Requirement

MTE needs to simplify their Invoice, Proforma Invoice & Credit Memo PDF templates.

Standard sales outside of Germany but within the EU are not charged VAT. However, with online stores they must charge the EU countries their actual VAT rate. Their current templates do not allow these different VAT rates to be displayed.

This needs to be Nett…therefore brutto & 2) changed to Netto/Net 1)…formula/back-ground coding to be changed to display Net price.

Remove the following entirely rom the template

Either above or below this, duplicate without grey shading and static writing of MwSt. / VAT (same text size as this just not bold) but the % and Amount needs to be populated from the SOE

Our Solution

This requirement can be achieved by updating the following PDF templates

• MTE Invoice Standard VAT
• Proforma Invoice Custom Sales Order PDF/HTML Template
• MTE Credit Memo Standard VAT

Updates to be done: 

1. Will add a VAT column in the item table and populate the Tax Rate % from the Invoice/SOE/Credit memo
2. Populate the Einzelrechnungs-betrag (netto) 1) column as last column instead of Brutto
3. MwSt. / VAT line will be added above the Rechnungsbetrag/Invoice Value Total 2) line. 
4. On MwSt. / VAT line, 
   1. Tax Rate % will be fetched from Tax Rate from the first item line in which the Tax Rate is added as the Tax Rate will be the same in all the item lines within a single SOE/Invoice/Credit memo.

2. Tax Amount will be fetched from Tax line on the summary table on SOE/Invoice/Credit memo

Risk

• Considered that the Tax Rate will be the same in all item lines on a single transaction
• Only considered the updates on the Tax/Amount related data. There will not be any changes to the layout or the other details
• The new template needs to be used on VAT Reduced Invoice & Credit memo form if this needs to be applied to the old transactions which are applicable to the reduced VAT (as per last year)
