• A OneWorld account is required even if there is only one subsidiary.
• The following types of accounts cannot be mapped:
o Non-posting accounts such as sales orders and payroll adjustments
o Bank accounts
o Credit card accounts
o Selected system accounts
o For accounts receivable and accounts payable, mapping is ignored for transactions that include transactions such as invoices and bills.
• Book-specific accounts must be present in the primary book. For example, if the secondary book demands accounts for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the primary book must also have those accounts whereas if the secondary book only requires meals which can be mapped to one of the accounts for breakfast, lunch and dinner or a meals account in the primary book.
• Turning on Multi-Book Accounting does not resolve all localization requirements. It is a specific functionality and will not address all localization requirements.
• For accounts that do not have Advanced Revenue Management enabled, the basis for allocation (VSOE) is supported for the primary book only. Revenue commitments can be used to make these adjustments if necessary.
• Revenue commitments will not support the reclassification process (deferred revenue vs. unbilled receivables) in secondary books.
• Once a book status in respective subsidiary is Active, it cannot be moved back to the Pending status. The same applies if a subsidiary in respective book was set to inactive – you cannot move it back to Active or Pending status. It means that changes of the status are irreversible.
• A closed period could not be reopened prior to the effective period of a secondary book for book generic changes as the opening balances in the secondary book should remain unchanged. Only book-specific changes in the Primary Book (e.g. book-specific journals) are allowed before the effective period.
