Required Switch to SCM Mobile Limited Access Roles
This notice applies to customers who obtained NetSuite WMS Limited Access User Cloud Service licenses and temporarily use Full access roles. A recent update has been completed to release the WMS Limited Access role.
When Do These Changes Take Effect?
The WMS Limited Access is now available in NetSuite versions 2023.2 and 2024.1. May 6, 2024 – Deadline to switch affected users to WMS Limited Access roles and to remove any Full access roles
Beginning May 6, 2024, users that you do not switch to WMS Limited Access roles count toward Full access usage, which might be more than you have obtained. Users that still have other roles based on a Full access role also count toward Full access usage. If you have reached your Full access usage limit, you cannot set up more Full access users until you switch the temporary users and remove their Full access roles.
What is Changing?
WMS Limited Access users include only those assigned with the standard WMS Limited Access role or a custom role based on the WMS Limited Access role.
The standard WMS Limited Access role enables you to perform the following tasks available in NetSuite WMS 2024.1:
Inbound processing – Receiving, Post Item Receipt, Putaway
Inventory processing – Inventory Transfer options, Cycle Count, Replenishment, Create Inventory, Change Inventory Status, Work Orders, Vendor Returns picking
Outbound processing – Picking with pick reversal, Quick Ship
Using the WMS Warehouse Manager role, you can assign pick tasks to operators or pickers that use the WMS Limited Access role. For more information about pick tasks, see Pick Task Assignment. Note: The Smart Count Inventory Counter WMS Limited Access role will be available in the upcoming release of the Smart Count SuiteApp. Until the Smart Count Inventory Counter WMS Limited Access role becomes available, you can customize the WMS Limited Access role to use Smart Count.
You cannot access records, transactions, and tasks on the NetSuite UI that may only be available using the temporary Full access role. By default, you can access only NetSuite components and pages associated with inbound, inventory, and outbound processing on the mobile app. To view the list of permissions assigned to the WMS Limited Access role, see Standard Roles Permissions Table.
Required Actions
Before May 6, 2024, switch the affected users to WMS Limited Access roles. Make sure that you also remove any temporary Full access roles.
Verify that you have the correct number of WMS Limited Access users in your NetSuite account by doing the following:
Go to Setup > Company > View Billing Information.
On the Billing Information page, click the Billable Components subtab.
In the Component column, look for WMS Limited Access User.
The Current Provisioned Qty column indicates the number of users to which you can assign Limited Access roles.
On May 6, 2024, the provisioned quantity for Full Licensed Users will be reduced to remove the quantity for valid WMS Limited Access Users.
Optionally, you can customize the WMS Limited Access role to update or remove permissions for inbound, inventory, or outbound processing. If you use NetSuite Ship Central, you can update permissions for packing or shipping on the Ship Central app.
If you want to customize the WMS Limited Access role to work with Smart Count, verify that the role has the required permissions and accesses. For more information about the list of permissions and accesses required to work with Smart Count,

You will continue to have access to your sandbox account for the remainder of your current service tier license term. Note: All other NetSuite service tier entitlements remain the same.
Recommended Action
When you renew your Premium, Enterprise and Ultimate NetSuite Service Tier license after May 15th, 2024, service tier licenses will no longer include a sandbox account. You have the following options:
If your service tier license renewal date is before May 15th, 2024, NetSuite service tier licenses will include a one-time extension of a sandbox account.
If your service tier license renewal date is after May 15th, 2024, and you are currently using your sandbox account, please contact your NetSuite account manager to discuss early service tier renewal options to extend the term of your sandbox account.
If your service tier license renewal date is after May 15th, 2024, and you want to continue using your current sandbox account, but you do not want to renew your service tier license early, you will have to purchase a separate sandbox license at renewal time.
