We would like to take away ability from all roles except Administrator to re-open any closed order.
Any Administrator should be able to open any close orders.
-> Create the workflow
1.Navigate to Customization > Workflow > Workflows > New.
2.Set the following field values:
a. Name:
b. Record Type: Select Transaction
c. Sub-Types: Select Sales Order
d. Execute as Admin: Enter Checkmark
e. Release Status: Select Testing
f. Enable Logging: Enter Checkmark
g. Event-Based: Enter Checkmark
h. On View/Update: Enter Checkmark
i. Trigger Type: Select Before Record Load
-> Create the workflow action
1.On the Workflow’s Workspace, Click State 1
2.Under State subtab, click New Action
3.Select Lock Record
4.Set the following field values:
a. Trigger On: Before Record Load
b. Condition
-Field: Select User Role
-Compare Type: Select None of
-Selection: Select Administrator roles
-Field: Select Status
-Compare Type: Select Any of
-Selection: Select Sales Order: Closed
c. Click Save
5.Click View to exit Edit mode
