Permission Violation: You need a higher permission for custom record type FAM Depreciation Method to access this page. Please contact your account administrator.

Scenario

User using a Custom Role is trying to view FAM Asset Records but encountered the error: “Permission Violation: You need a higher permission for custom record type FAM Depreciation Method to access this page. Please contact your account administrator.”

Solution

1. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
   Note: Use Administrator role
2. Custom Role: Click Edit
3. Click Permissions tab
4. Click Custom Record subtab
   • FAM Depreciation Method: Select Full
5. Click Add
6. Click Save
