Certification Templates are how ReconArt refers to the workflow that a given account will follow for Certification.
The Certification workflow for various accounts can be different, and the format and information that needs to be presented to the Certification Users for a proper certification also varies. For example, with certain accounts, only the GL balance needs to be explained. In that case, the account should use a template called ‘Recon with no Subledger’. In other cases, the account balance needs be explained in accordance with a GL account balance as well as a Subledger balance, and will likely use a template called ‘General’ or ‘Recon with Subledger’.
Certification templates are tied directly to Account Classifications, so all accounts belonging to a particular classification will follow the same Certification procedure. This ensures that all accounts are certified correctly according to a specific and determined procedure.
To map Account Classes to Certification Templates, enter the Templates section of Certification Preferences.
The certification templates screen will populate with a list of all currently configured account classifications
To assign a template to an account classification, select the classification row and then click into dropdown list in the “Templates” field to select the desired template.
