Print Status for Closed Sales Order Only Using Basic PDF Layout

There is a requirement to print Status for closed Sales Orders only utilizing Basic PDF Layouts. This is achievable by creating a Custom Body Field and customizing the Sales Order Form.

  • Create Transaction Body Field
  1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Body Fields > New
  2. Label: Enter Label
  • Example: Closed
  1. Type: Select Free-Form Text
  2. Store Value: Remove Checkmark
  3. Click Applies To tab
  • Sale: Enter Checkmark
  1. Click Validation & Defaulting tab
  • Formula: Enter Checkmark
  • Default Value: Enter CASE WHEN {‌orderstatus}=’Closed’ THEN {‌orderstatus} ELSE NULL END
  1. Click Save
  • Customize the Preferred Sales Order Form
  1. Navigate to Customization ListsRecords& Fields Transaction Forms
  2. Preferred Sales Order Form: Click Customize/Edit
  3. Click Printing Fields tab
  4. Click Body subtab
  5. Status:
  • Print/Email: Remove Checkmark
  1. Closed:
  • Print/Email: Enter Checkmark
  • Label: Enter Status
  1. Click Save
