Proposal For Adding 3% Additional Charge To Invoices

Proposal Summary 

 

This proposal covers the scope of adding a 3% of additional charge into the invoices. 

Requirement 

  • We need to include a 3% of additional charge on the invoices. When the customer attempts to pay the invoice, an additional amount equal to 3% of the total needs to be added to the total amount. 
  • This additional charge will only be applied to invoices and is not necessary when placing orders from the webstore. 

Deliverable 

The default Suite Commerce MyAccount functionalities do not include an option to add a 3% of additional charge. To enable this functionality, customization is required. 

  • To implement the functionality of adding the additional charge, we can utilize a markup item. Its price will be set at 3% of the total invoice amount, ensuring that the total amount in the invoice includes this charge.  

          

 

  • When the customer does the payment of invoice, the additional charge will be included in the amount due 

                

  • The additional charge, which is added as an item, which won’t be displayed on the website. 
  • The Additional Charge added will be displayed under the label “Additional Fee” on the Summary section. 

 

 

Scope & Limitation 

  • Any changes to the proposed solution will be considered as change request. 
  • Currently, we will give the label as “Additional Charge” text in the summary box. 
  • The changes will be matching to the current design of the webstore, if there is any design change then that will be out of scope. 
  • Development will be first done in the Sandbox then after confirmation move to production. 

 

Assumption   

  • The UI will be matching to the current theme. 

 

Risk 

The markup item may include in all PDFs related to invoices, which may affect the appearance of the documents.
