This proposal covers both the functional and UI development for adding ‘free shipping countdown’ to the cart page of the SCA webstore of Point Australia.

Our Solution
We can add a free shipping countdown to the cart page. The free shipping countdown will be added to the order summary section of the cart page. A sample screenshot is added below.
For achieving this, we need to add a new functionality in the existing cart scroll update extension and also need to store the minimum amount for receiving the free shipping for the customer in the configuration record, so that we can compare the prices and display the differences between them as the free shipping countdown. We are also able to change the amount in the configuration record at any time. We can either take subtotal or estimated total amount on the cart page for the comparison. The development can be started only after confirming which price needs to be taken into consideration for calculating the amount to show as the free shipping countdown.

The selected price (Subtotal or Estimated total) will be deducted from the price added in the configuration record for calculating the free shipping countdown amount.
In the shipping method, we are able to see a “Free” shipping item with a minimum amount of 1000 as in the below screenshot.
Shall we use the same shipping method and the amount added in the shipping rule for calculating the free shipping countdown amount for the Website? Currently, there are no default shipping methods are selected in the website setup record. If we are using the “Free” shipping method, we also need to select it as the default shipping method in the website setup record.
Assumptions/Terms and conditions
• We will display the free shipping countdown in the order summary section of the cart page.
• For comparing with the price which is added in the configuration record, we can either take subtotal or estimated total amount in the cart page. The development can be started only after confirming which price needs to be taken into consideration.
• If we are using the “free” shipping method we will take the amount added in the free shipping rule for calculating the amount which needs to be displayed as free shipping countdown.
• The amount added to the configuration record can be changed at any time. This amount will be applicable to all customers.
• No further UI or functionality changes will be done except in the current scope.
• New Feature Implementation will be extra.
