Proposal Summary
Hygiene Technologies Ltd would like to update the existing DIFOTIS setup in their account. Currently, the Trend Graph and KPI meter show the item count excluding some items that are included in the ‘DIFOTIS Exclude Items’ saved search. Hygiene Technologies Ltd wants to exclude the items that have the field of ‘Asterisk Item’ as ticked and if the supplier is ‘2FBK100 Fyens Borste & Kostefabrik ApS’.
Requirement
Currently, the DIFOTIS scripts not considering the items that are included in ‘DIFOTIS Exclude Items’. The business would like to change this so that instead of excluding items in the saved search, exclude items if ‘Asterisk Item’ field checked in the item record and if the supplier is ‘2FBK100 Fyens Borste & Kostefabrik ApS’.
Our Solution
Existing Scenario
- The saved search ‘DIFOTIS Exclude Items’ has items that should be excluded from the DIFOTIS customisation. The custom item field ‘Exclude from DIFOTIS’ will be checked if the saved search criteria satisfy the item.
- We have added criteria in the saved search to show trend graph and KPI meter to exclude items marked with “Exclude From DIFOTIS” as true.
- The script enters the value ‘Not Included in the Sales Orders field ‘DIFOTIS Ontime/In spec’ if all the items have the value ‘Excluded from DIFOTIS’ set to true.
And the value will be Out of spec if some items have excluded from DIFOTIS, and it will be ‘In spec’ if none of the items in SO are excluded from DIFOTIS
Proposed Solution
- There is a checkbox ‘Asterisk Item’ in the item record. This field is available in Inventory Items and Assembly Items.
- Update the script to exclude items if the ‘Asterisk Item’ box checked and the preferred supplier is ‘2FBK100 Fyens Borste & Kostefabrik ApS’ instead of calculating DIFOTIS with the saved search.
- So, the saved search ‘DIFOTIS Exclude Items’ will not consider in the DIFOTIS functionality.
- The saved searches to show trend graph and KPI meter, we will change the criteria to exclude items if the ‘Asterisk Item’ box checked and the preferred supplier is ‘2FBK100 Fyens Borste & Kostefabrik ApS’.
- The script will be updated to check if for all the items in a Sales order, the ‘Asterisk Item’ is checked in the item record and if the supplier is ‘2FBK100’ so that the Sales order can be marked ‘Not Included’.
- And if some of the items in a sales order are ‘Asterisk Item’ and supplier is ‘2FBK100’ then it will be marked as “Out of Spec” which will be excluded from the in spec order list.
Assumptions
- An item will be excluded from the DIFOTIS if both the condition satisfies for an item
- ‘Asterisk Item’ box is checked and
- The Preferred supplier is ‘2FBK100 Fyens Borste & Kostefabrik ApS’.
The item will be considered even if any of the above condition satisfies.
- We will only consider the cases where ‘2FBK100 Fyens Borste & Kostefabrik ApS’ is a preferred vendor for an item. If it is not a preferred vendor, then it will not be considered in the exclude items.
- We will only change the criteria ‘Exclude Items that satisfies the saved search conditions.
