Proposal Summary
This proposal covers the scope of display the shipping methods as domain-specific on the OneSource webstore, so customers can select the shipping method based on the domain.
Requirement
- The requirement is to display the shipping methods as domain-specific.
- For example, on the RAC website, there are only two ship methods, and on the SPB website, there will be one ship method with another ID. So when we navigate the shipping methods, the method displayed should only be allowed for that domain.
Deliverables
- Shipping methods will be displayed on the website according to the domain used.
- We will create an extension to get all shipping methods and update the list of shipping methods that needs to be displayed based on the domain.
- We can choose the shipping methods to be displayed by domain using the configuration record. It will be a sub list field. So, the shipping methods that need to be displayed on each website need to be selected in the corresponding configuration record. Only the shipping methods that selected in the configuration record will be visible on the website even though the “Display in website” field is enabled.
- We will filter the shipping methods to be displayed based on the domain we used, which we obtained by using an extension. Based on the list the shipping method will be displayed as follows.
Scope & Limitation
- Only shipping methods that are available on the website, i.e., those marked as “Display in website” as true, can be updated based on the domain.
- Any changes to the proposed solution will be considered as change request.
- UI development will be matching to current theme and other UI changes will be out of scope.
Assumption
- The UI will be matching to the current theme.
- The solution we proposed will be confirmed only at the stage of development. After starting the development only, we can confirm whether we required to change any other method. According to that changes the time may vary.
