Requirement
Corp Design USA needs the CSRs to approve the information that the warehouse is adding on the item fulfillments while packing, before they are sent to the freight company. The idea is that when the warehouse adds the dimensions and weight on the IF’s, the CSR should receive an email or a notification where they can go in the IF and make sure that everything is ok and when this is done, they can approve that and then the email will be send to the freight company.
Deliverables
- As per the current functionality when an item fulfillment is packed with dimensions and weight added in NetSuite, an email will be automatically triggered to the freight company, informing them that dimensions have been added and requesting the BOL.
- Prior to sending this email to the freight company, we will include an approval process by the CSR for the dimensions and weight added in the item fulfillment record.
- When the item fulfillment record is packed in NetSuite with dimensions and weight, we will send an email to CSR requesting their approval.
- In the email body, we’ll incorporate a link to the item fulfilment record. By clicking the provided link, the CSR can easily review the details added within the record.
- The Email sent will be attached under the communication tab of the IF record.
- We will add a button in the item fulfillment record as “Approve” when the record is packed in NetSuite.
- The CSR can thoroughly review the order, verify the details, and then proceed to click on the “Approve” button to confirm that the added details are correct.
- Once the CSR approves the details the email to the freight company will be sent.
- The Email sent to the freight company will also be attached under the communication tab in the IF record.
- If any details are missing, the CSR will need to add them before proceeding to approve the order.
- We will add a checkbox labeled “CSR Approved” in the IF record. This checkbox will automatically be marked when the CSR approves the order. Consequently, the CSR-approved date and time can be viewed in the system information for the “CSR Approved” field.
Assumptions
- We assume that CSR will add any missing details to the IF record during the review process and then proceed to approve the order details.
- We assume that CSR will add the BOL provided by the freight company to the IF record, and only after the BOL is added will the warehouse trigger the ship milestone.
