Proposal Summary
This proposal covers the scope of Changing the UI of the email template for the item fulfilment (AU) as per the given requirement.
Requirement
Need to build an email template that is sent to the customer when an item fulfilment is created for AU subsidiary.
We need to copy the template over from the Order Confirmation and we will have the content changed to suit this new one.
But as per the new requirement OX Tools agreed to leave off the item amount and total. All that is needed is product image, code, quantity ordered, quantity shipped.
Deliverables
- We can send order fulfilment emails for all the “AU” orders using workflow.
- Workflow can be triggered for both Web/NetSuite orders.
- If we are using workflow, then we need to make changes in the website setup. Currently Under the website setup, we have seen that the default order fulfilment email checkbox is checked for sending the item fulfilment mail. So, we need to uncheck the checkbox “send email” in the order fulfilled tab.
- We need to create new email template as given in the mock-up.
- As per the new requirement, OX Tools would like to add product image, code, quantity ordered, quantity shipped.
- From the Item fulfilment record we can get the quantity shipped and the product code.
- To get the product image in the Item fulfilment record, we must create a workflow and workflow action script.
- Regarding the quantity ordered in the item fulfilment record, we need to create a user event script for adding the ordered quantity for each line in the item fulfilment record.
- For the tracking link field, OX Tools would like to show this by joining two texts together: “https://trackmyparcel.com.au/” + what is in the connote field, to make one URL. It is possible to add this link in the email template. But kindly note that we are not saving this link to any of the fields of sales order and item fulfilment.

- The connote field value should be available.
Queries
- If there is no tracking link available in the IF record, then do we need to add the text “track your delivery here”?
Assumption
- The background of the email template will be same as per order confirmation email which will consists of a header and footer.
- Order date displayed in the email template might be from the sales order.
- The shipping address will be displayed in the address section.
- For picked, packed status email will not send.
- New email template is using only for item fulfilment for AU subsidiary.
- For mobile and desktop devices, we use same template.
- Not adding item amount and total in the email template.
- The changes will move to production once it is verified in sandbox.
