Proposal summary

This proposal covers the scope of the packing slip PDF print.

Requirement 

Cleerline Technology Group would like to create an advanced PDF template for the Packing slip in the same layout as the currently used basic pdf template. The Items are sourced from the custom record RF-SMART Packed Box and its related child record RF-SMART Packed Item.

Our Solution

Prerequisites

• The advanced PDF template feature should be enabled in the CTG account
• Advanced PDF template permission should be given to the role provided to J&J 

Description 

The requirement can be achieved by creating a new PDF template for Packing Slip and by rendering that PDF on a button click from IF using script. 

• A button “Print Packing Slip” will be added to the Item Fulfilment Record. Clicking upon the button, PDF will be generated as per the given mockup.
• The Data sourcing on the PDF will be as follows
• The Data Source from Sales Order record:

  • Account No(Join field: Customer Record)
  • Bill To

• The Data Source from IF record:
  • Ship To
  • Ship Date
  • Shipping Method

Note

• The Item table will contain only Box, Item, Description, Quantity, Tracking # columns.
• Will consider the items only from the custom records, not from the IF record.

Risk

• The packing slip print can be taken only from Netsuite IF record, and can’t be taken as bulk print.
