PROPOSAL FOR ROUTING REPRESENTATIVE SALES ORDER TO “PENDING APPROVAL” STATUS

Proposal Summary 

This proposal covers the scope of implementing a process to route sales orders created by sales representatives to a “Pending Approval” status, instead of “Pending Fulfillment,” in NetSuite. Sales orders from other sources, such as the Customer Center, should remain unaffected by these changes.  

The estimated time for completion of the proposal is 18 hours. 

The scope and the provided estimate are based on the anticipation, expectation, and understanding through our discussions and email. If the scope change/additional feature development identified during actual development, they will be treated as change request. 

Requirement from Second Source Rx 

  • All sales orders created by sales representatives should default to the “Pending Approval” status instead of Pending Fulfillment.  
  • Sales orders from other sources, such as the Customer Center, should remain unaffected by these changes. 

Deliverables     

 

  • When a sales order is created by a sales representative in NetSuite, the status of the sales order will automatically be set to “Pending Approval”. 
  • The implementer will create a workflow with specific conditions to set the status field of sales orders created by sales representatives to “Pending Approval”. 
  • After setting the status of the sales order to “Pending Approval,” the implementer will also disable the status field to prevent further updates by the sales representative. 
  • The workflow will apply this status change based on the conditions related to the creation of the sales order by the sales representative, ensuring that the current process for website orders, which will remain set to “Pending Fulfillment,” is not affected. 

 

Scope Limitation 

  • The proposal is based on the discussions, anticipations, and understanding through our discussions and email. Any requirement, change, and feature development identified during the development process will be treated as change request.  
  • The change in the status field will apply exclusively to sales orders created by sales representatives, not affecting any other types of orders. 
  • The implementer will start development in the Sandbox account of NetSuite and only move the changes to production account after receiving confirmation. 

Assumption 

  • It is assumed that the sales rep orders referred to the sales order created by sales representatives in the NetSuite. 
  • The implementer assumes that all sales orders created will have a default status of ‘Pending Fulfillment’.
