PROPOSAL FOR SETTING UP OF SHOPPING FEED

 

Proposal Summary 

This proposal covers the Setting up of Shopping feed in NetSuite for google shopping. 

 Requirement 

Requirement is to create a “shopping feed” in NetSuite to enable the Google shopping service in Thermogard. 

Our solution 

Product feeds/Shopping feed is one among the variety features provided by Commerce Extensions to enhance our Commerce website. The Suite Commerce Product Feeds extension lets you create product feeds for the following services: 

  • Google Shopping 
  • Google Shopping with Merchant Promotions 
  • Facebook Dynamic Ads 
  • Custom CSV output 

SET UP BUNDLE 

To use this extension, we required to install the bundle and suite Apps. We must need to installed the bundle corresponding to product feed. we need to have installed the following Suite Apps in our account: Suite Commerce, Suite Commerce MyAccount, or Suite Commerce Advanced (Aconcagua release or later).  

SET UP PRODUCT FEED 

For creating the product feed, we have to set up all the required settings in our account and we must first set up the service where we want to use the product feed and identify the requirements for the data. 

Google Shopping: Thermogard must have previously signed up for a Google Merchant account and performed basic setup operations 

Suite Commerce Product Feeds performs an item caching process to fetch all web store items. If we do not mark them as active and display in website, they are not considered 

When we install the Suite Commerce Product Feeds extension, product feed-specific fields are added to the Feeds tab in our Item records to collect product-feed specific information. Required fields for the target product feed type must not be left blank in the Item record. Otherwise, an error will be triggered in the service when you upload the product feed. We can update these fields manually on each individual Item record, use the Mass Update menu option, or use CSV import. When we have updated the Item record with all the required and the optional fields, we are now ready to create a product feed. 

Product feeds to be imported into the Google Merchant Center should contain at least the following fields: 

  • ID 
  • Title 
  • Description 
  • Link 
  • Image link 
  • Availability 
  • Price 
  • Condition 
  • Google product category 

Other attributes may be required depending on the item type to be included and the target country of the product feed. 

Assumption 

We will be working on the Production environment for development. We have to install the bundle to add product feed extension. Suite Apps, Suite commerce Advanced is already installed in the account. We have to enable some features our NetSuite account and also required to update the Item record. Thermogard must have previously signed up for a Google Merchant account and performed basic setup operations. Required fields for the target product feed type must not be left blank in the Item record. Otherwise, an error will be triggered in the service when you upload the product feed.
