Proposal Summary
This proposal covers the scope of the implementation of a Stock Aging Report using Suitelet. This report will help in effective inventory management by providing detailed insights into the aging of stock items across different subsidiaries. The report can be viewed on-screen or exported as a CSV file.
Requirement
The customer aims to implement a Stock Aging Report in NetSuite using a Suitelet. This report should include filters to sort the data by date and subsidiaries. Additionally, the customer needs to view the stock aging categorized into different age bands. This report should allow viewing on the Suitelet page and also enable downloading as a CSV file.
Deliverables
- A Suitelet page will be designed to display the Stock Aging Report, featuring a Date filter and subsidiary filter fields for selecting the “As of date” and “Subsidiary” to generate the report.
- The Suitelet will include buttons to both Generate and View the report on the page and to Download it as a CSV file.
- The report will include essential columns such as Item Code, Warehouse, Item Group, Quantity, aging band columns, and a Total column.
- The aging band columns will calculate the cost of items based on applied depreciation percentages according to their age and quantity.
- The Suitelet page will default to today’s date for the “As of Date” filter, allowing users to adjust the date to previous or future days.
- The subsidiary filter can select either individual subsidiaries or parent-subsidiaries.
- The Suitelet page will display the aging details of items belonging to the selected subsidiary within the chosen date range.
Assumptions and Limitations
- The percentages for aging bands will be hardcoded into the script.
- The aging calculator will use the date of transaction into the warehouse (warehouse entry date) as the basis for calculating aging.
- The following Depreciation Percentages will be used for calculating the cost for the item according to its age.
- 0-30 days: 0%
- 31-60 days: 0%
- 61-90 days: 0%
- 91-120 days: 5%
- 121-150 days: 10%
- 151-180 days: 30%
- 181-365 days: 40%
- 366-729 days: 50%
- 730+ days: 100%
- All the necessary data for creating the Suitelet will be present in the saved search “Midwich stock aging report” created by Jcurve in the Blonde robot sandbox account.
