Requirement

Website Redesign:

  • Redesign the website in a modular fashion to accommodate various product categories and customer segments.
  • Ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligned with the branding of each product category.
  • Implement a consistent layout and navigation structure for easy access to different domains or categories.
  • Incorporate a search functionality that allows customers to find products quickly and efficiently.
  • Wants to make sure that the new site does not have such a heavy reliance on Bus parts sales. He wants to utilize the site to sell to the entire school and not just the transportation portion of it.

Product Offering:

  • Create distinct domains or categories such as “tool warehouse” or “off-road vehicle lighting” to target specific B2B customer segments effectively.
  • Identify potential customer segments for each category (e.g., trucking, agriculture, RV vehicles) and tailor product offerings accordingly.
  • Analyse market demand and trends to determine which product categories to prioritize and pursue.
  • Consider supplementing existing products, adding new products, or exploring partnerships to expand the product portfolio.
  • Wants related products to be shown

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Create compelling content, including product descriptions, images, and videos, to showcase the benefits and features of each category.
  • Leverage customer feedback and testimonials to build trust and credibility for the new product categories.
  • Conducting surveys among existing customers will help gather insights on their buying preferences, potential additional suppliers, and areas of growth.

Deliverables

Website Redesign

  • The development of the theme is a crucial aspect of the website redesign process.

In this part, we will fetch the existing theme and based on the existing theme we will develop the new theme on the custom domain in the sandbox account.

We can provide design for PDP, and PLP pages also like the sample home page design we have provided earlier.

We will update the following section on the website as per the new design

  • Home page
  • PDP
  • PLP
  • My account pages
  • To redesign the website in a modular fashion to accommodate various product categories and customer segments we can make use of the default features in NetSuite.

Customer segments: We will redesign the UI of the same for improving the customer experience. We can create different customer segments and assign them to different customer records.

We will display items based on the customer segments which the customer belongs to.

Product categories: We can create different categories based on the products and their types.

We can add items to different product categories and display them as a drop-down list on the home page.

  • Implement a consistent layout and navigation structure for easy access to different domains or categories. We can create other pages like PDP, PLP, and cart-like carry-forward designs based on the home page design we have provided.
  • Search Functionality: To Incorporate a search functionality that allows customers to find products quickly and efficiently we can add search preferences and, we can configure the search index in NetSuite.
  • To reduce the site’s heavy dependence on Bus parts sales, we can emphasize the full range of products offered by the entire school rather than focusing solely on transportation.

We can achieve this by incorporating banner images on the home page as a helpful visual aid.

And, by adding featured product sliders on the home page with the help of extensions.

Product Offering

  • We can create product categories in NetSuite for categories such as “tool warehouse” or “off-road vehicle lighting” to target specific B2B customer segments effectively.
  • we can create different customer segments in NetSuite, and we can display products based on different customer segments.
  • Based on the market demand and trends we can prioritize product categories using extensions and features like PCV(Personalized Catalog Views).

Personalized Catalog Views: We can also check the possibility of implementing Personalized Catalog Views in the NetSuite account (PCV).

The Personalized Catalog Views (PCV) feature enables you to provide different customers with access to different items.

We can divide our customers into groups and provide each group with access to a tailored selection of catalog items.

We can define whether a particular customer group can view the items, view the prices, buy the items, or all three, which is useful in many scenarios, particularly for B2B websites.

  • For Highlighting special products, we can add home page banners with links to the PDP of that product.
  • Related Products: We have the option in Netsuite to utilize complementary products in your online store to promote cross-selling.

The related products can be displayed in the PDP of the item.

For instance, if you run an electronics web store, you can create a collection of related items such as cables, extension cords, and surge protectors. When a customer views a monitor on your website, a list of related items will be displayed, allowing them to easily explore additional products that are relevant to their needs.

In NetSuite, there are two methods to establish related items:

  • Create Related Item Groups: Begin by creating groups that consist of related items. Then, associate these groups with the items you offer in your web store.
  • Associate Individual Related Items: Alternatively, you can individually associate specific items with the products you sell in your web store.

Please note that when a shopper adds a child matrix item to their cart, the related items associated with that item will not be displayed in the related items section on the Shopping Cart page.

Marketing and Promotion

  • We can use the default forms in the NetSuite like for taking customer feedback.
  • We can use types of forms on the website and can get feedback from customers. Also, these forms can be used for different marketing purposes.
  • We also implement item badges and promotion site messages additionally in the PDP page if needed.


Pre-Requisition

  • NetSuite administrator access.
  • The user has the role of SC Deployer
  • Need to fetch the extension and Theme, the corresponding bundles should be installed.

SOW

  1. We will create the design for the home page, PDP page, PLP, etc, and submit it for verification
  2. From the confirmed design, we will start developing the UI by updating the theme of the current website
  3. We will log in to the NetSuite account (Sandbox if available) and create a custom domain there and start developing.
  4. We will develop a new theme based on the existing theme.
  5. For promotions and marketing, we can add special categories and home page banners for special products.
  6. For additional customization, we can develop extensions for the same.
  7. We will test the updates in the custom domain and after verification from your end, we can push the changes to production.
