By seeing the quote list:

Some businesses provide customers with a quotation or estimate before the order is accepted. Customers typically review the estimate and perhaps ask for changes. In NetSuite, you can create an estimate and then print, email, or fax it to your customer. Then when your customer accepts it, you can make any necessary changes and convert it to a sales order, invoice, or cash sale.

To enable the Estimates feature, an administrator can go to Setup > Company > Enable Features. On the Transactions subtab under Basic Features, check the Estimates box, and then click Save. Users with the appropriate role can now prepare estimates at Transactions > Sales > Prepare Estimates

When you use the Estimates feature, a Renew button appears on invoices for roles who have the create estimate permission. When you click Renew , NetSuite converts the selected invoice into a pre-filled, editable, estimate. This is particularly useful when issuing new estimates for often repeated items.

NetSuite creates a non-posting Estimate account in your chart of accounts. Estimates have no accounting impact until they are converted to invoices or cash sales.

  • The quote list can be available in Transactions > Sales > Prepare Estimates > Lists

Deleting Old Estimates:

If you no longer need a prepared estimate, you can delete it from the Estimates list. Go to Transactions > Sales > Prepare Estimates > List. If you have inline Edit enabled, click Delete Record from the Create New menu. Alternatively, click Edit next to the estimate and then click Delete on the Actions list in the estimate record.

Converting an Estimate:
