Receive button is not available on the Customer Return Authorization

Using a Custom Role, the Receive button is not available on a Customer Return Authorization record. 

Check the Custom Role 

  1.  Navigate to Setup Users/Roles > Manage Roles 
  1. Click ‘Edit‘ beside the Custom Role.  
  1. On Permissions tab > Transactions sub-tab, ensure that the following permissions are present:  
  • Receive Returns = Full 
  • Return Authorization = Full  

If users have full access to those transaction permissions but are still unable to see the Receive button, check if the Advanced Receiving feature is enabled. 

  1. Navigate to Setup Company Enable Features
  1. On Transactions tab, Shipping & Receiving section, mark ‘ADVANCED RECEIVING‘  
  1. Click ‘Save‘. 

Custom Form is being used 

  1. Navigate to Customization Forms Transaction Forms
  1. Click ‘Edit‘ beside the Custom Return Authorization Form. 
  1. On Actions tab, Standard Actions subtab, mark the ‘Show‘ checkbox on the right side of ‘Receive‘ Action. 
  1. Select ‘Button‘ as the ‘Display As‘. 
  1. Click ‘Save‘.  

Note:  

  • If Advanced Receiving is disabled, the Receive button on the return authorization disappears because the credit memo already receives the return. 
  • If Advanced Receiving is enabled, the Receive button on return authorizations appears. The credit memo for the receivable and the item receipt become separate transactions.
