Resolve Commerce Category error with same URL facets in SuiteCommerce Advanced

This will occur if a commerce category URL fragment contains the word or phrase that is defined in either the URL Component for facets list or defined in the SuiteCommerce Configuration record. A page not found will be displayed when displaying the commerce category. This effect would be the same vice-versa.Example:1. Create custom “Color” item field with the field ID “custitem_color_facet”. Define it as a facet field in the Web Site Setup record.
2. Rename the facet “custitem_color_facet” in URL Component to “color” in the “Commerce > Marketing > URL Components for Facets ” list.
3. Define the facet in SuiteCommerce Configuration with the Item Field ID as “color”
4. Test the following Commerce Category URL fragments that contained the word “color”

Solution

Solutions to avoid errors on Commerce Category:

  • Navigate to Commerce > Marketing > URL Components for Facets  and change URL component to a unique word. 
  • ID of custom Item Field must be unique.
  • Navigate to Commerce > Content Management > Commerce Categories > edit Commerce Category record > URL fragments text box. Change URL fragment to a unique word.
