Resolve Error: “Please Configure the Inventory Detail in Line 1 of the Item List” When Clicking Mark Shipped Button

Scenario

The user is getting an error message saying: “Please configure the inventory detail in line 1 of the item list” after clicking the Mark Shipped button on the Item Fulfillment page.

Solution

The error is encountered whenever the Use Bins checkbox was marked on the Item record of the Item being fulfilled which is subsequent to the creation of the Sales Order and/or the Item Fulfillment. Since the Use Bins was enabled, fulfilling the order will now require selecting a bin which the item will be shipped from. This means that we need to distribute first the available quantities across all available bins.

  1. Go to Transactions Inventory Bin Putaway Worksheet
  2. Select Location
  3. Select the Item to be put away
  4. Click the Inventory Detail icon
  5. Select the Bin
  6. Enter Quantity 
  7. Click OK
  8. Click Save
  9. Go back to the Item Fulfillment record
  10. Click Edit 
  11. Click the Inventory Detail icon of the Item
  12. Select the Bin
  13. Enter Quantity 
  14. Click OK
  15. Click Save 
  16. Click Mark Shipped button
