Resolve Items Could Not Be Added to the Cart in SCA/SCS

Scenario

At times, adding items would not be possible on the webstore when the item record has been misconfigured. This solution would help you resolve a specific scenario where items could not be added to the cart with the Browser Developer console showing the following errors: “/app/site/hosting/scriptlet.nl?script=customscript_scs_loggerendpoint&deploy=customdeploy_scs_loggerendpoint

The following error is returned because there seems to be a misconfiguration with the item being displayed on the site. There is a possibility that the Inventory Item which is displayed on the webstore has an Item Option assigned even if it is not intended to be a matrix item. To resolve this, please check the solution below.

Solution

Steps:

  1. On the NetSuite UI, edit the Item Record of the item
  2. Go to the Custom subtab
  3. On the Item Options field, unselect the selected Item Option
  4. Save the Item Record
