Activation of theme/extension may be blocked due to some internal error or cancellation of the process during the activation. If it has happened NetSuite doesn’t allow to activate another theme/extension. This can be resolved by the following method.
Method 1:
- Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types
- Look for the following records: SC ExtMech Activation and SC ExtMech Extensions Active
- View the records and open the list of the records under those types
- Delete the SC ExtMech Extensions Active records connected to the SC ExtMech Activation record that is still In Progress.
- Delete the SC ExtMech Activation record after deleting the connected records.
- Start another activation
Method 2:
- Delete all records related to the base theme in the customs records for activation
- Uninstall the SuiteCommerce base theme
- Follow Method 1 detailed above (this will delete the link between installed extensions and SCA)
- Uninstall SuiteCommerce Extension Management (which works if there is no data left in the tables)
- Reinstall SuiteCommerce Extension Management (new version)
- Reinstall SuiteCommerce base theme (new version)
- Activate Base Theme
- Deploy Extensions
- Activate Extensions
