Issue:
While trying to receive items in a Purchase Order, users encountered the following error:
This line has been marked shipped. This line cannot be received
Solution:
The mentioned purchase order is a drop ship purchase order. Drop ship orders are handled differently from regular purchase orders. If you mark items as shipped and then attempt to receive them, the system may block the action or show a warning. This is because drop ship items are usually fulfilled directly to the customer and not received into your inventory.
In this specific case, the lines having issues have associated Item receipts and Item Fulfillment records, and were partially received. NetSuite does not allow both receiving and fulfillment actions on the same line by default.
To resolve this, we can set the Account preference, labelled, Allow Both Mark Shipped Fulfillments and Receipts on a Drop Shipment Line, to Allow.
