I want each of my sales representatives to have access to their own opportunities without being able to see other sales representatives’ opportunities. However, they should still be able to view customer information.
I made changes to the sales representative role page, setting the employee restriction to “Own & Subordinates only.” However, these changes are preventing access to customer data in the system. It only provides customer data for the specific user set as a sales rep.
After investigating and researching here on my end here is what I can say about your concern.
- Currently there is an existing enhancement logged for your concern which is:Enhancement # 205733 Employee Restrictions = Own & Subordinates Only > Customer record > Sales > Transactions > Be able to view ALL the transactions related to the customer regardless if the transactions was assigned to another Sales Rep.
This means that your request is currently not available yet in NetSuite as of the moment. What I can suggest is to cast your vote for this enhancement so that it would be implemented in the future.
