Sales Territory Reassignment for Customers created through Webstore.

  • Upon customer record creation in the webstore, a corresponding record is established in NetSuite, albeit without a billing address. Subsequently, the Sales Territory allocates a sales representative within NetSuite.
  • Once credit card details are provided, the billing address is appended to the customer record in the webstore, and this alteration is mirrored in NetSuite. Nevertheless, the assigned sales representative remains unchanged.
  • As NetSuite generates Sales Orders from webstore transactions, the workflow named “Sales Order Lead Source Web Orders” is activated. This workflow prompts the dispatch of an email to the sales representative designated in the Sales Order. The Sales Representative information within the Sales Order is sourced from the associated Customer record. Hence email is sent to wrong Sales Rep.
  • We would like to reassign sales territory immediately after the Customer record is created in the NetSuite. Please let us know, how this can be achieved?

NOTE: When I checked this cannot be done through workflow or schedule mass update.
