Saved Search to Show Inventory-Affecting Transactions in the Item Record

Follow the steps below to create Saved search to show inventory-affecting transaction in the item record:

1. Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New > Transaction.
2. Under the Criteria tab > Standard sub tab > Filter column, add the following:

  • Account > select the Asset account
  • Posting > is true
  • Main Line > is False

3. Under the Results tab > Columns sub tab > Field column, add the following:

  • Date
  • Number
  • Type
  • Quantity

Under the Available Filters tab, add the following:

  • Item > Do not check the Show in Filter Region and Show as Multi-Select
  • Location > You may check the Show in Filter Region.

5. Check the Public box.

6. Click Save and Run.

7. Navigate to Customization tab > Forms > Sublist.

8. Under the Item tab, find the name of the saved search under the Search column and fill out the following:

  • Label: It can be the name of the search
  • Tab: Indicate the tab where you want it to be found <e.g. Inventory>
  • Check the appropriate item type where you want to show the search.

9. Click Save.

10. Go back to the item record and note that the saved search will now be under the Purchasing/Inventory tab and the same result as in the saved search will show.
