Setting Up NSPB Sync SuiteApp

The NSPB Sync SuiteApp enables you to extract accounting reports from NetSuite saved searches and use them in your Oracle Cloud Planning and Budgeting application. In this article, we can find the details regarding setting up NSPB.

Prerequisites

Enable below mentioned features:

1. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.

2. Click the CRM subtab.

3. Under the Basic Features section, check the Customer Relationship Management box.

4. Click the SuiteCloud subtab, and check the following boxes:

  • Custom Records
  • Client Suite Script
  • Server Suite Script
  • Token-based Authentication

5. Click Save.

Installing NSPB Sync SuiteApp

Search and install the bundle

  • Bundle ID: 168463
  • Bundle name: NSPB Sync

Setting up a Password for file encryption

  1. Go to Planning & Budgeting > Setup > File Encryption Password.
  2. Enter a new password.
  3. Click Save.

Password should exactly Has 16, 24, or 32 characters.

  • Contains one or a combination of the following character types:
    • Uppercase alpha characters (A, B, … Z)
    • Lowercase alpha characters (a, b, … z)
    • Numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0)
    • Non-alphanumeric ASCII characters, for example !@#$%^&*.:;-‘`”/\+?_|=()[]{}<>

Setting up Token Based Authentication

We must generate a token and token secret for authentication of a dedicated integration user who will call RESTlets. Then, you need to use the generated values in your Planning and Budgeting to set up the connection to NetSuite.

To Set Up a token

  • Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Access Tokens > New.

On the Access Token page:

  • From the Application Name dropdown list, select the appropriate application name.
  • From the User dropdown list, select the user assigned the PBCS Integration role.
  • From the Role dropdown list, select PBCS Integration.
  • The Token Name field is populated with a concatenation of Application Name, User, and Role.
  • Click Save

To assign the token into PBCS  account

  • Log in to your Planning and Budgeting account.
  • Click the Menu icon , and select Data Exchange.
  •  From the Actions dropdown list, select Applications.
  • On the Applications page, click the Configure Connections icon .
  • On the Connections page, click the Add icon, and then select NetSuite.
  • In the Create connection: Netsuite popup window:
  • In the Name field, enter a name for the connection.
  • In the Description field, enter a description to help you identify this connection.
  • For the Consumer Key Type, choose one of the following:
    • Default
    • Custom

In the Token Key and Token Secret fields, enter the Token ID and Token Secret generated

  • In the Account field, enter the integration user’s NetSuite Account ID.
  • Click Test Connection.
  • If a popup window confirms that the connection to NetSuite was successful, click OK to complete the connection configuration.

Scheduling NSPB Sync Deployment Scripts

Go to Customization > Scripting > Scripts.

  1. In the list of scripts, click the Deployments link for the deployment script you want to schedule.
  2. Click Edit next to the deployment script.
  3. Click the Schedule subtab, and check that the following details are configured:
    • The Start Time field is set to 12:00 a.m.
    • The Repeat field is set to Every 15 minutes.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Repeat these steps for each deployment script.
