Setting up SuiteApps for NetSuite Ship Central

NetSuite Ship Central facilitates order fulfillment using a tablet or kiosk device, allowing for multilevel packing and seamless shipping. Orders can be packed either through the app itself or via the NetSuite UI.

Together with SCM Mobile, NetSuite Ship Central expands packing and shipping functionalities, enabling users to:

  1. Consolidate picked items from multiple orders for efficient packing.
  2. Utilize integrated carriers from ShipEngine for shipping.
  3. To utilize the app for shipping, a ShipEngine account must be created within NetSuite. Accounts created externally cannot be integrated with Ship Central.

Features include:

  • Estimation and tracking of shipping costs across various services.
  • Visibility into packed items across multiple cartons or pallets.
  • Printing capabilities for labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
  • International shipping options including printing of relevant documents like the Certificate of Origin and Commercial Invoice.

To begin setup, install the SCM Mobile SuiteApp first, followed by the Ship Central SuiteApp. SCM Mobile grants access to Ship Central on mobile devices. Refer to the SCM Mobile Setup for installation requirements.

To install SuiteApps for NetSuite Ship Central:

  1. Navigate to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles using the Administrator role.
  2. Enter the bundle names in the Keywords field in the following order:
  • SCM Mobile – 511559
  • NetSuite Ship Central – 513797
  1. Click Search.
  2. Select the respective bundle ID.
  3. Click Install on the Bundle Details page.
  4. Confirm any permission prompts for future updates.
  5. Click Install Bundle on the Preview Bundle Install page.

After installing the SCM Mobile SuiteApp, repeat the process to install the Ship Central SuiteApp.
