Here, I’d actually need to view as a search/report to view the parent project and the associated child projects if there are any. In the above example, we need to search for the child projects from the list of them. Our company has more than 400 projects, and 100’s of them have child projects and remaining they aren’t. So, I’d like to view those 100 parent projects with their associated child projects.
Solution
Currently, this is not possible in a Saved Search. Analytics will work.
Here’s how:
1.) Click Analytics
2.) Go to Datasets
3.) Click New Dataset
4.) Select Project
5.) Under the fields, Select Project Record > Project ID
6.) Drag this to criteria and set condition to is not empty:
7.) For the Columns Go to Projects and add fields such as Project ID, Project (Long name including the Parent), Customer
8.) For the Parent Project, go to Parent Record Project > Project Name
9.) Save the Dataset
