Show the Item Sales Description in Printed Picking Ticket

Scenario

The user wants to show the Item Sales Description in Printed Picking Ticket.

Solution
  1. Check the record of the Item that is associated to your sales order
  2. Global Search: Type Item in question
  3. Click View
  4. Click Sales/Pricing Tab
  5. Sales section:
  • Sales Description: Check if Populated
  1. Check the Sales Order Form
  2. Navigate to Setup > Customization > Transaction Forms
  3. Preferred Sales Order Form: Click Edit
  4. Click Screen Fields 
  5. Click Columns
  6. Description: Mark Show Checkbox
  7. Click Printing Fields 
  8. Click Columns 
  9. Description: Mark Print/Email Checkbox

Note: If the Advanced PDF/HTML (Beta) Templates feature is enabled in the system, the Printing Fields tab will only show in the Custom Transaction Form Details is the Printing Type = Basic.

  1. Open the Sales Order Record
  2. Under Items Tab
  • Description: Verify if correctly populated

Note: Picking Ticket pulls up information based on the sales order. Thus, if the sales order record shows no value for Description Field under Items Tab, then no item description will be printed on the Picking Ticket form.
