Smart Count SuiteApp

The Smart Count SuiteApp enables us to perform inventory counts in real-time, during business hours without having to stop our operations. When we start counting an item, the SuiteApp records the on-hand quantity of the item. The SuiteApp automatically notifies the counter (employee doing the count) for any on-hand changes during count, and suggests an appropriate action. We can also set a default action to handle items with on-hand changes during count.

We can perform inventory count for the following items:

  • Assembly/Bill of Materials
    • Lot Numbered
    • Serialized
  • Inventory Item
    • Lot Numbered
    • Serialized

Using the SuiteApp, we can perform directed count and spot count. In directed count, the counter counts items from a task list generated based on the saved search included in a count configuration record. In spot or nondirected count, the counter can pick any item for count.

The SuiteApp supports Bin, Units of Measure (UOM), and Inventory Status features for inventory counting. The SuiteApp also lets us review item counts and resolve differences in the counted quantity. After review, we can approve count, reject count, or mark items for recount.

The Smart Count SuiteApp provides a dashboard that displays item counts performed in each location and also includes default saved searches.

The Smart Count SuiteApp enables us to:

  • Perform directed inventory count using a system-generated task list based on user-defined saved searches.
  • Enforce blind count to prevent displaying expected item quantity for a specific item or all items.
  • Define quantity, amount, quantity percentage, and amount percentage tolerances of inventory items at the item and company levels.
  • Automatically approve item count variance within tolerance at the item, bin, and inventory status levels.
  • Review item count records to approve, reject, or mark items for recount.
  • Perform spot counting by picking any item for count.
  • Automatically increment the count quantity by one through tally scanning.
  • Perform inventory counting during business hours without having to stop business operations.
  • Scan GS1 bar codes to perform inventory count.
