If we want to set up our customer has more than one sales rep for that we need to enable the Team Selling feature.
Go to Setup>Company>Enable features under the CRM subtab tick the team selling feature.
After enabling the team selling feature in our Netsuite account following changes occurs,
- On sales transaction and customer record sales rep field replace with Sales Team.
- Sales rep box replaced by sales role field on the employee record.
- Existing employees marked as sales reps the Sales Rep sales role.
- On the report page we can see sales by sales team report.
- Adds a Select Sales Team Members option to the Create Group page.
Before we create a sales team, we must create sales roles and assign them to our employees
Team Selling includes the Sales Rep sales role, by default.
Go to Set up> sales > CRM Lists>New
Enter a name and description for the role
If we need to create a new sales team,
Go to Setup>Sales>Sales Team>New
In the name field enter the new sales team name and member sub-tab enter employees name we want to add these new sales team as our requirement.
Select the sales role as a sales rep and tick the primary box corresponding employee name we want to as our primary sales rep and enter the contribution of each employee.
(In addition, the Team Selling feature affects existing transactions and customers in the following ways:
Existing customers or sales transactions associated with a single sales rep display the rep on the Sales Team subtab for the customer or transaction. NetSuite marks this rep as the primary sales rep.
Existing customers or sales transactions associated with a sales group (created prior to Team Selling) display those group members on the Sales Team subtab. NetSuite defaults no primary sales rep. If we stop using the Team Selling feature, NetSuite maintains the sales team data for transactions entered when we used the feature. This ensures that commission payments and quota calculations remain accurate.)
