To deploy reports to a new account, we cannot use SDF directly. So there is an indirect method to deploy reports using SDF is given below.
- Download the XML file for the report and also download the XML file for the custom layout.
2. Add the XML files for the Reports and layout to the ‘Object’ folder manually.
3. Add dependency references to the manifest. While adding dependency references to the manifest, maybe they will not be added the dependencies automatically to the manifest. So in this case, we need to manually add the dependency objects to the manifest.
4. Then validate the project against the account.
5. If there is no errors, deploy them into the new account.
