- Go to Commerce > Websites > Configuration.
- Select your website and domain, and click Configure.
- Go to the Checkout tab and the Quantity Stock Message subtab.
- Check the Show Quantity Available on the Out-of-Stock Error Message box to include the quantity of items that are available in the out-of-stock error message.
Clear this box if you do not want to include the quantity of items in the out-of-stock error message.
- Click Save.
Note
The out-of-stock error message will only appear if there is at least one item available. If there is no stock available for an item, your customers will not be able to add it to their shopping cart so they will not proceed to the checkout flow.
