NetSuite Work Calendars allow you to define working days, hours, and non-working days (including holidays) for employees and vendors assigned as project resources. This helps in accurately scheduling tasks and managing resource capacity.
Here’s how to set up holidays in NetSuite Work Calendars:
1. Create a Work Calendar:
- Go to Lists > Employees > Work Calendars > New.
- Enter a Name for the calendar (e.g., “Company Holidays 2024”).
- Optionally, check the Default Calendar box to assign this calendar to new resources by default.
- Click Save.
2. Define Working Days:
- On the Working Days subtab, set the:
- Start At time (e.g., 9:00 AM).
- Hours Per Day (e.g., 8).
- Days included in the regular work week (e.g., Monday-Friday).
3. Add Holidays:
- Click the Non-Working Days subtab.
- Click Add.
- Select or enter the Date of the holiday.
- Enter a Description (e.g., New Year’s Day).
- Click Save.
