Query
Sometimes I see our bounced email list and delete the email so it doesn’t bounce next time. Is there anything else I can do? Today I deleted an email from the bounced emails list address, but I still can’t send the email.
Reason: Not sent: Specific address recently returned.
Solution
We would suggest watching and waiting until tomorrow. NetSuite tracks any address that is returned from any email sent from NetSuite, including marketing campaigns, direct mail, and transaction email.
When a message sent to an email address results in a hard bounce, NetSuite marks that email address as a hard bounce email address. Hard bounce addresses are not sent by email through marketing campaigns for a set period. To choose how long NetSuite keeps the bounce history of an email address, go to > Company Setup > Email > Email Preferences. In the Remove email addresses from the list of bounced email addresses field, type the number of days that NetSuite must keep copies of bounced email addresses.
You can use the Permanently Returned search field to filter recipients with invalid email addresses from your marketing groups. See Choosing email recipients.
You can view and manage the list of permanently bounced email addresses in Lists > Relationships > Bounced email addresses. See viewing the list of bounced email addresses. See also Remove an email address from the list of bounced email addresses.
You can create a group of recipients based on the type of system response you receive for them after sending an email campaign. See Creating Groups Based on Campaign Response Count.
