Unable See Custom Role for Sandbox Under View All Roles Dropdown

Scenario:

User refreshed Sandbox but the Custom Role does not appear under the View All Roles list.

Solution

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Reset user’s the password to make sure that the passwords match with production and sandbox
  2. Remove the permissions set up SAML Single Sign-on and SAML Single Sign-on from the Setup subtab of the custom role
  3. Added a standard role and another custom role to the employee record of the user affected. The 2 new roles that were added did appear in the view all roles dropdown but the initial role that user was looking for was still missing
  4. Did role comparison for the custom role which appeared and found no permissions that might be causing the behavior
  5. Tried to force login using that role using the url https://system.netsuite.com/pages/login.jsp?id=xxxxxxxxx&email=xxxxxx@xxxx.com&password= but still the custom role did not appear

Solution:

Recreate the role and use the Save As functionality.
