Unable to Initiate Upgrade to the Latest Version of Fixed Assets Management Because Asset Depreciation or Background Tasks Are in Progress or in Pending Status

Scenario

 

Fixed Assets Management bundle update fails and the user receives an email with the following data:

 

Account: xxx

Bundle Name: Fixed Assets Management

Script: FAM Bundle Installation Scripts

Type: Bundle Installation

Function: ncFAR_BeforeBundleUpdate

Error: INSTALLATION_ERROR

Unable to initiate an upgrade to the latest version of Fixed Assets Management because Asset Depreciation or background tasks are in progress or in Pending status. To view the status of all processes, go to Fixed Assets > Fixed Assets Background Processing > Process Instance List. 

When all tasks are marked Completed, contact Support to have our Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp upgraded to the latest version.

 

Solution

  1. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Background Processing > FAM Process List
  2. Show Inactive: Enter Checkmark
  3. In Progress or Queued Processes: Enter Inactive Checkmark for all
  4. Click Submit
  5. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Background Processing > Status
  6. In Progress or Queued Status: Click Internal ID for all
  7. Click Edit
  8. Inactive: Enter Checkmark
  9. Click Save
  10. Note: Email NetSuite Customer Support as soon as the above steps are done so that support can re-launch the upgrade in the account
