Unable to Save Project Task in Aqualis Braemar-UAE-NS

Problem:

When saving a project task in Aqualis Braemar-UAE-NS, the following alert appears, preventing the record from being saved: “Record Not Saved – You cannot add Adrian Torry to this project task. Adrian Torry is not a resource for this project.”

This alert occurs because the employee mentioned in the error message is not linked as a resource to the project from which the task was created. The root cause is that the employee has been removed from the project as the employee was made inactive.

As a result, updates to the project task cannot be saved, leading to disruption.

Root Cause:

  • The employee (Adrian Torry, in this case) is no longer linked to the project because their status has been set to inactive.
  • Without the link, NetSuite does not allow the employee to be associated with the project task.

Resolution:

To resolve this issue, the inactive employee must be linked back to the project as a resource, even if they remain inactive. This ensures that tasks referencing the employee can be saved without triggering the error.

Note:

The Resource Allocations feature is not enabled in this account. The Display All Resources for Project Task Assignment preference is also not in use for the projects created in this account.
