The Custom Item field is locked automatically when the field is used in the Commerce Website Setup in the SuiteCommerce Advanced.
Solution:
- If the website is not in use or is inactive, we can remove it under the Field Set tab after confirming that it won’t have any impact.
- If the website is in use at the instance remove the field, update the Custom Item field—such as making it mandatory—and then add the field back again. However, we must ensure this does not impact any other customizations or the live website.
By following any of the above solutions and removing the field from the Website Setup, we can unlock the Custom Item field that is currently locked.
