Update address with CSV import

How we can update address for the master records through CSV import?

To update a field in other records, we can simply map the internal ID of the record and update the field we want to change it.

But when we use this CSV for updating the address, then we can see that a new line is added. So then we will be having 2 address lines.

For solving this we need to map the address internal id at the time of importing. This we can get from the list view of the master item.

To get this address internal id

  1. Go to the list view of that master record.
  2. Then we can see the edit view option in that page
  3. Click on that button.
  4. Then a page will open. In that, under the ‘Result sub-tab’ search for Address internal id and select it.
  5. Click Save.

Then in the list view, you can see the address internal id. Download it in Excel and use the CSV import option. While mapping the fields, we need to map the Internal id of the record and also the Address Internal ID.

Then the system will only update the address line that already exist in the system.
