Update Item Record Lead Time via CSV Import

NetSuite allows users to enter a lead time for Item records when Auto-Calculate check box for Lead Time is marked.

Thus, to update Lead Time via CSV Import, Auto-Calculate check box for lead time should be unmarked.

Users can update the Lead Time field and unmark Auto-Calculate for Lead Time check box together through CSV Import.

 

 

  1. Prepare a CSV file. Open an Excel file and add columns for the following fields and fill out the columns with necessary information.
  • Item Name/Number or Internal ID
  • Note: Users can run a Saved Search to get the Internal IDs of the items to be updated.
  • Lead Time
  • Auto-Calculate Lead time
  • Note: Set the detail to False or No to unmark the Auto-Calculate check box.
  1. Navigate to Setup Import/Export Import CSV Records
  2. Import Type: Select Items
  3. Record Type: Select the type of Item being updated
  4. CSV Files: Select the CSV File
  5. Click Next
  6. Data Handling: Select Update
  7. Click Next
  8. Field Mapping:
  9. Note: Map the fields according to the CSV file selected. 
  • Internal ID: Click Item: Internal ID
  • Auto-Calculate Lead time: Click Item : Auto-Calculate Lead Time
  • Lead Time: Click Item : Purchase Lead Time
  1. Click Next
  2. Import Map Name: Enter Title
  3. Example: Lead Time Update
  4. Click Save & Run

 

Note: The steps above are also applicable in updating Preferred Stock Level by using the mapping Auto-Calculate Preferred Stock Level = Item : Auto-Calculate Preferred Stock Level and Preferred Stock Level = Item: Preferred Stock Level.
