Proposal summary
OX Tools USA would like to include an option in Sales Order to print item labels related to it, In a Predefined Layout, for both USA and Canada.
Requirement
OX Tools USA would like to add the Lowes MC Label button to the sales order page in NetSuite for USA and Canada Subsidiaries.
Our Solution
- The requirement can be achieved by adding a button called “Print Lowes MC Label” on the Sales Order.
- It should appear on viewing the SO based on Subsidiaries USA and Canada.
- The script will generate the pdf of the item labels for the items in the SO, in the below layout format on the button click.
- Will generate one document for each button click, with no repetition based on item quantity.
Eg: In the sales order which has two items “A” and “B” with 3 quantities each. And in the print, it should have one label for A and for B in a single document (totally 2 labels in a single document not 6). - The label fits onto a label size of 4” x 6”.

Assumptions
- The print layed-out from the Sales order should contain all the items within the Sales Order, in a single document.
- The item label will not be repeated based on any quantity in the Sales Order. So there will be only one label for each item in the SO.
Risks
- Here we proposed a custom button to create the Lowes MC Label Print, considering the following limitations:
- Adding a new custom action to the Print dropdown menu is not possible.
- Advanced pdf template has limitations in bringing custom fields datas. So we cannot customize the Item Label Adv pdf and apply it for different forms.
- An option can be added to the Action Menu. However this will be available only in edit mode. So the user has to edit the SO to generate the print.
