User Event Scripts are not triggered when Inventory Adjustments are created from Inventory Count

Question

Normally, when records are created from external forms, EDI etc, we are able to catch the trigger through server-side scripts. But in the case when Inventory Adjustments are created from inventory count, we are not able to catch the trigger through server scripts (User event script).

We are trying to fetch the Header and line memo from the Inventory count record to populate the corresponding Inventory Adjustment.

I have seen the enhancement “E#434333: Allow Memo field in the Inventory Count to be carried over to the related Inventory Adjustment” That is why I try to do the same in the script.

Is it the normal behavior of the system? Is there any alternative solution to get the real-time trigger of the Inventory Adjustment creation from the inventory count record?

Answer

You can submit a case to the support team for an enhancement to add this feature.

Meanwhile, you can consider moving the important codes of your inventory adjustment user event script to a scheduled script that will run a few minutes after you change the status of the inventory count (triggering the creation of its inventory adjustment).
