There are a different ways of checking to see if a website, webpage or domain has been indexed in Google. One of the easiest way to check if an individual webpage has been indexed is to use a search operator.
By using either the site: or info: search operators in Google will help a user check if the page has been indexed.
- Open any web browser
- Enter www.google.com
- Search box: Enter site:www.yourdomain.com
- Click Search
Note: If it returns the webpage in the search results, it is indexed. If there is no result, it is not indexed
Other useful commands:
- link:www.yourdomain.com – External links pointing to your site
- cache:www.yourdomain.com – Cached version of the website since at the time bots made a recent index
- info:www.yourdomain.com – General information on the website
- allinurl:yourdomain.mysite.com – A quick way to see if a specific page is indexed
- related:yourdomain.mysite.com – Pages similar to the website
