View the Cash Flow statement’s financial row in more detail

Regarding viewing the cash flow statement in the detail, by default, we cannot drill down the accounts in the Cash Flow Statement report. But we may customize our report for us to be able to drill down and view the details of the account in the report. Below are the steps that we may follow:

1. Navigate to Reports > Financials > Cash Flow Statement > Customize

2. Click Edit Layout

3. Expand the Adjustments to Net Income Header and Summary Rows

4. On every financial section, change the Display field to Expanded

5. Click Preview or Save

After saving, we may view the report and then click the account and you will be redirected to the General Ledger page. Please note that the Amount column on your Cash Flow Statement will be the difference between the Debits and Credits of the General Ledger report. We will also be able to drill down these accounts by clicking them, just like any Financial Report.

In the above example, we have tried drilling down/clicking the 1100-Account Receivable. This routed us to the General Ledger of the 1100-Account Receivable as shown in the screenshot below. This page will allow us to see the details and transactions of the 1100 accounts Receivable.
